Information about the 2022 Hajj Quotas
According to the announcement from the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the council convened under the chairmanship of the President of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş.
At the meeting where this year's Hajj and Umrah trips were evaluated, the council decided that Hajj travels will commence on June 7, and Umrah tours during the month of Shawwal will begin on May 2, 2022.
According to the decisions of the council, there will be no new draw for this year, and the procedures for determining Hajj travelers will be conducted based on the results of the 2020 draw. Umrah tours will be organized in hotel-type, room preference 1, and room preference 2 accommodation types.
Decisions regarding Hajj
Those going to Hajj this year will be determined based on the matters communicated by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
The preferences of Hajj travelers whose registration rights were transferred from 2020 regarding whether they will go to Hajj or not will be received between April 25 and May 4.
Hajj registration rights will be granted to Hajj travelers under the age of 65, and they will not be given the right to postpone to 2023. The registration rights of Hajj travelers over the age of 65 will be postponed to the following year, following the decision taken last year.
In cases where Hajj travelers over the age of 65 and under the age of 65 are together during registration, those under the age of 65 can be separated from their connection to go to Hajj upon their request, while those who want to postpone to 2023 will have their rights postponed to 2023, following the decision taken last year.
The announcement stated that the council also decided on matters related to education, guidance, accommodation, and other services to be provided to Hajj and Umrah travelers domestically and abroad.
